Randall McDaniel (* 19th December 1964 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the Guards . He played from 1989 to 1999 for the Minnesota Vikings and from 2000 to 2001 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the National Football League (NFL). During this time he was elected to the Pro Bowl twelve times . McDaniel has been a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2009 .

College time

McDaniel played at Arizona State University from 1984 to 1987 during his college years . He won the Rose Bowl with his team in 1987 and was voted All American twice (1986, 1987) . He also received the Morris Trophy for the best offensive line player in the Pac10 Conference . For these achievements, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Professional time

McDaniel was selected 19th in the 1988 NFL Draft in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings. Here he played in the position of guard. In his first season he was elected to the all-rookie team. In the following 12 seasons he was appointed to the Pro Bowl and 9 times to the All Pro Team. In 2000 he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he ended his career in 2001. Overall, he played 202 consecutive games for his team between 1989 and 2002 without being absent due to injury during this period. Six different running backs were able to gain more than 1,000 yards of space in one season with his help. He was elected to the 1990 All Decade Team and has been a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2009 .

After the professional career

McDaniel lives in Minnesota and works as an elementary school teacher.
