Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche is a French commune in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It is located in the arrondissement of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and is the capital (French: Chef-lieu ) of the canton of Verneuil-sur-Seine . Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche has 4911 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The inhabitants are called Nonnais-Bretechois .
geography
Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche is located in the Versailles plain on the Forêt de Marly , a 20 square kilometer wooded area, and in the valley of the Ru de Gally . Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chambourcy in the north, Mareil-Marly in the northeast, L'Étang-la-Ville in the east, Noisy-le-Roi in the southeast, Villepreux in the south, Chavenay in the southwest and Feucherolles in the West.
The A13 autoroute and the former national route 307 run through the municipality .
