The Seat Malaga (in Greece Seat Gredos ) is a four-door notchback sedan of the lower middle class . It was launched on the market in May 1985 as the successor to the Seat 131 and Seat Ronda , on whose floor pan it was created. There are also technical and visual similarities with the Italian competitor Fiat Regata .

Initially, three engines were offered:

  • Malaga 1.2 with 1193 cm³ displacement and 47 kW
  • Malaga 1.5 with 1461 cm³ displacement and 63 kW
  • Malaga 1.7 diesel with 1740 cm³ displacement and 40 kW

The two petrol engines came from the Ronda, the diesel was bought by Fiat.

In 1987 the carburetor engine of the Seat Malaga 1.5 was equipped with an injection. The Seat Malaga Injection developed 74 kW (100 PS) and with a catalytic converter 66 kW (90 PS). The vehicle was 174 km / h or 165 km / h with a catalytic converter.

In May 1991 the Malaga was replaced by the VW- based Toledo .
