The station Katrin on the mountain Katrin near Bad Ischl ( Upper Austria ) is a station of the ORS group of the ORF . A 56 meter high steel lattice tower, which is mounted on two steel brackets, serves as the antenna carrier.

The transmitter went into operation in 1966. In the 1970s the transmitter was replaced and is now the transmitter for the Salzkammergut and the nearby Dachstein region .

Almost 90% of the broadcast area can be broadcast stereophonically. Since digitization, no analog TV signals have been broadcast.

On the Katrin mountain there is also a transmitter from Free Radio Salzkammergut (100.2 MHz; 0.8 kW). However, this is not housed in the ORS system, but in the mountain station of the cable car.

Since June 4, 2007, the national DVB-T multiplex has been broadcast by the station Katrin . The ORF's analog television programs were switched off on September 24, 2007.
