Steven Bergwijn (born October 8, 1997 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player and national player who is under contract with Tottenham Hotspur .
Career
society
Bergwijn, both Dutch and Surinamese , started playing football at ASC Waterwijk, a district club of Almere in the province of Flevoland . He later moved to the youth academy of Ajax Amsterdam and then to that of the league competitor PSV Eindhoven . He has played in their first team since the end of the 2014/15 season . Bergwijn won the championship three times with PSV Eindhoven and the national super cup once. He was also represented in every season since his professional debut in the European Cup; In the 2015/16 season he reached the round of 16 with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League and was eliminated from the competition after a 7-8 penalty shoot-out against eventual finalists Atlético Madrid after both the first and second leg ended goalless.
