Tankred Dorst Prize
The Tankred Dorst Prize is a German script award .

Named after the German playwright and writer Tankred Dorst , the Tankred Dorst Prize is awarded once a year at the Munich Film Festival . The award will be given to an outstanding script from the respective year of the script workshop in Munich . For this purpose, the board of directors and book supervisors of the DrehbuchWerkstatt München nominates three scripts from the scholarship holders . An independent jury selects the winner from these.
The prize was awarded for the first time for the 10th year (1998/99) and is endowed with 3000 euros. It is awarded by the Society of Friends and Patrons of the University of Television and Film Munich . The prize has been awarded 21 times to date and is considered one of the most important scriptwriting prizes for budding screenwriters .
