Torsten Hammann (born November 3, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Private

Torsten Hammann grew up in the Hamburg district of Wilhelmsburg . His father owned a lashing shop in St. Pauli , where he himself worked as a lashing machine for two years. He was active as a singer in the Hamburg rock band Cancer Barrack in the 80s / 90s. Torsten Hammann lives in Hamburg.

Education and theater

He completed his acting training from 1992 to 1995 at the Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg . After his training he made guest appearances at the Thalia Theater and the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in 1995 ( Der Talisman , director: Hellmuth Matiasek ).

He then had theater engagements at numerous Hamburg theaters, from 1996 first at Schmidt's Tivoli Theater , first as Eddy in the cinema revue Oscar , then later in the musical version of A Midsummer Night's Dream . In the 1950s revue Fifty Fifty (1997), directed by Corny Littmann, was the conférencier . He also played the role of Kjell Barne in the German-language premiere of the Norwegian theatrical hit Elling in 2003 .

During this time he also made guest appearances at the Altonaer Theater (2002, as Lennie in Von Mäusen und Menschen ), the Hamburger Kammerspiele (2003) and the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus (2004). At the Altona Theater in 2004/05 he played juror No. 6 in Rose / Budjuhn's play The Twelve Jurors . In November 2008, Hammann's nativity play Große Stadt, Heilige Nacht under the title Silent Night 2008 was premiered at Schmidt's Tivoli .

From 2010 he made regular guest appearances at the St. Pauli Theater , where he made his debut as the boxing giant “Jochen der Rochen” in Franz Wittenbrink's recital Die Ritze . From 2011 to 2014 he played the butcher Lazar Wolf in the musical Anatevka .

Since 2011 he has played the robber Hotzenplotz in the musical adaptation of the children's book classic of the same name at the Schmidt Theater . He had great success there from 2014 as a businessman Pfeffersack and Pirat in the family musical Der kleine Störtebeker . In September 2015 he made his successful debut with his self-composed solo piece “Komma rein hier!” About Oliver from Kober .

Since the late 1990s, Hammann has been in front of the camera for numerous cinema and television productions. He worked for the cinema a. a. with Fatih Akin , Werner Herzog , Sönke Wortmann and Dennis Satin . a. directed by Carl Schenkel , Thomas Nennstiel and Thorsten Näter .

Hammann's roles, which ranged from gangsters to humorous characters, also included numerous minor roles such as workers, sailors, landlords, bodyguards, smugglers, kiosk vendors and security guards, to whom he gave individual profiles, drawn as batches .

In the comedy series Alles Atze (2000-2001) he was Heiner Grothe, Ewald's serious criminal son. He played in fairy tale films , where he played a giant and a landlord, had guest roles in the TV series Tatort and Wilsberg and played numerous episode roles in television series such as Adelheid and their murderers , Großstadtrevier , Heldt , Hubert and Staller and Dogs of Berlin .
