The 13th stage of the Tour de France 2017 took place on July 14, 2017, the French national holiday. It was a short mountain stage over 101 kilometers through the Pyrenees from Saint-Girons to Foix . There was an intermediate sprint in Seix after 13.5 kilometers and three mountain classifications in the 1st category.

The stage winner was the leader in the mountain classification Warren Barguil in the sprint of a four-man leading group . Barguil attacked with Thomas Voeckler from the start , but was caught up again after a short time. After only brief attempts to break away from other drivers, u. a. from Alessandro De Marchi , who won the first mountain classification at the Col de Latrape , he took off again with Alberto Contador and Mikel Landa , but could not keep their pace. At the second mountain classification, the Col d'Agnes , he was overtaken by Nairo Quintana and Michał Kwiatkowski . Together with Quintana, Barguil caught up with Contador and Landa on the third mountain, the Mur de Péguère . Behind the leading group, Simon Yates and Daniel Martin crossed the finish line 1:39 minutes and the other favorites 1:48 minutes behind, so that Fabio Aru defended his yellow jersey .
