Trax (band)

Trax was a Danish hit duo that existed from 1983 to 1986. The members were Lise Haavik (born February 23, 1962 in Narvik , Norway ) and John Hatting (born June 5, 1948 in Copenhagen ; † March 23, 2013 ibid).

Motivated by his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 with his band Brixx , the musician and composer John Hatting was looking for a singer for a duo. The up-and-coming singer Lisa Haavik was introduced to him through his record company. The Duo Trax was founded in 1983 and became a couple privately. In 1984 and 1985 they took part in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix , but without winning a victory. In 1986 they won and were therefore allowed to compete in the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark. They achieved sixth place with the hit Du er fuld af løgn . It is noteworthy that Lise Haavik was mainly seen, Hatting sang with two singers in the background choir. The couple then ended their activities as a duo, but both remained musically active.
