Career
society
Viitorul Constanța
Băluță began his footballing career at the age of eight in his hometown, when he joined the football school of former national player Gheorghe Popescu from Craiova . Six years later he started attending the youth academy of the Viitorul Constanța professional club . As a 17-year-old, he made his debut for Constanța in the top Romanian league by substitution in the 7-1 victory over ASA Târgu Mureş on May 2, 2016 - four days later a second brief assignment followed. When his club brought in the first Romanian championship in the club's history in the subsequent 2016/17 season , Băluță was still left out. From the 2017/18 season, however, he was an integral part of the team; he also celebrated his international debut in the Europa League against Red Bull Salzburg , which ended with a 4-0 defeat. With his performances in the central midfield and the flexible deployment capability also in the defense network, he developed into one of the greatest talents in Romanian football, which was also expressed in increasing appointments to the Romanian national teams. Comparisons were made with the "midfield strategist" Gheorghe Popescu, who in turn "ennobled" Băluță with the words "Incredible determination, smart boy, complete footballer".
Brighton & Hove Albion
After Băluță had confirmed his good form in the first 15 games of the 2018/19 season, he signed a contract with English first division club Brighton & Hove Albion on January 31, 2019 until the summer of 2022 . The transfer business included that Băluță continued to run for the current season for Constanța. There he was in the starting line-up of the team on May 25, 2019, which won the Romanian Cup 2-1 in the final against Astra Giurgiu .
National team
Băluță played his first international A match for Romania on May 31, 2018 by substituting for Dragoș Nedelcu in a 3-2 win against Chile . A year later, he played the U-21s in the 2019 European Championship finals in Italy , although he was not represented in previous qualifying matches. He scored a goal in the 4-1 opening win against Croatia and he played in all remaining games up to the 2-4 semi-final against Germany .
