Weitersdorf (colloquially: "Waideʳschdoʳf") is a district of the market Roßtal in the district of Fürth .

geography

The church village forms a closed settlement with the south-western Roßtal. The place is surrounded by arable land, grassland and smaller forest areas. To the northeast of the village is the Krähenleite, approx. 0.75 km southeast of the Weismannsdorfer Holz.

The district road FÜ 22 runs after Roßtal to state road 2409 (1.8 km southwest) or past Wolfgangshof to Anwanden (1.6 km northeast). A community road leads to Kastenreuth (1.8 km south). The Franconian Marienweg runs through the village .

history

In 1234 a "Burchardus de Witandorf" was mentioned in a document. This is also the first written mention of the place. In 1339 the place was first mentioned as "Weitersdorf". Whether the defining word of the place name is the German personal name Wîtram or the Slavic personal name Vītan cannot be clarified.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were six properties in Weitersdorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach judge's office in Roßtal . The rulership of the village and community was held by the hospital office of the imperial city of Nuremberg . The landlords were the Heiligenstiftung Roßtal (one estate), the imperial city of Nuremberg: Landesalmosenamt (one half yard, one estate), Spitalamt (two estates) and the Nuremberg owner von Haller (one estate). In 1804 there were seven properties in the village, one of which was Ansbach and six were Nuremberg.

In 1808, Weitersdorf was assigned to the Buchschwabach tax district as part of the municipal edict . In the same year the rural community of Weitersdorf was founded, to which the places Kastenreuth , Oedenreuth , Trettendorf and Wimpashof belonged. The community was under administration and jurisdiction of the district court Cadolzburg and in the financial administration of the bursary Cadolzburg (in 1920 the tax office Cadolzburg renamed). From 1862, Weitersdorf was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). Jurisdiction remained with the Cadolzburg District Court until 1879, from 1880 to March 1, 1931 it was with the Cadolzburg District Court , since then it has been exercised by the Fürth District Court . The financial management was taken over on January 1, 1929 by the Fürth tax office . The municipality had an area of 8.208 km².

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Weitersdorf was incorporated into Roßtal on May 1, 1978.
