The World Grand Prix was a major tournament in darts and was organized for the 16th time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 7th to 13th, 2013 . The venue for the 13th time was the Citywest Hotel in Dublin .

The defending champion was Michael van Gerwen . The winner was Phil Taylor , who won the tournament for the eleventh time.

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in the 1st round was a best of 3 sets . In the final a best of 11 sets . Each leg was played in 501 double-in-double-out mode.

Prize money

As in the previous year, a total of £ 350,000 in prize money was distributed. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:

qualification

The following players were qualified for the World Grand Prix 2013:

• The first 16 players of the Order of Merit , of which the first 8 were seeded
• The 14 first-placed players in the ProTour Order of Merit who were not already eligible to participate via the Order of Merit
• The 2 best placed players in the ProTour Order of Merit from Ireland and Northern Ireland who did not meet either of the above criteria and who had participated in at least four Players Championships tournaments

The broadcasters Sport1 and Sport1 + broadcast the event in German-speaking countries . The station can also be received in Austria via cable and satellite.

Internationally, all games were also transmitted directly to pdc.tv by the PDC.
