Zephyrhills West is directly adjacent to Zephyrhills to the east and is located about 10 km south of Dade City and about 25 km northeast of Tampa . The CDP is crossed and tangent to US Highway 301 and Florida State Road 54 .

According to the 2010 census, the then 5865 inhabitants were distributed over 4268 households.
