Ziegelhütte is a district of the city of Treuchtlingen in the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The desert has 6 inhabitants (as of 2019) and is at an altitude of 529  m above sea level. NHN .

Location, traffic

Ziegelhütte is located in the southern Franconian Jura west of Treuchtlingen on State Road 2216 . The Treuchtlingen district of Heunischhof is adjacent . There are two other places within the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district with the same name: Ziegelhütte , part of the nearby municipality of Absberg and Ziegelhütte , part of the neighboring municipality of Heidenheim .

history

The district is first mentioned in 1667 as a brick house near Treuchtlingen . The place name is interpreted as “hut in which (roof) tiles were burned”. The associated clay pits were located north of the brickyard in the forest. For 1730 is reported that the "Stately brick cottage" was uninhabited at the time and the Fraisch and the Bailiwick the ansbachische held Treuchtlingen. Towards the end of the Old Kingdom , the brickworks were inhabited again and paid interest with a subject to the former Ansbach, since 1792 royal Prussian administration office Treuchtlingen.

With the transition to the Kingdom of Bavaria and the formation of the Treuchtlingen tax district , the brickworks received the Treuchtlinger house number 160 in 1808. The brickworks had been an inn and an agricultural farm since the 1960s at the latest; “Economic justice” is mentioned as early as 1846.
