The 1st Soccer Amateur League Southwest 1964/65 was the 13th season of the third class 1st Amateur League in regional men's soccer in the southern part of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and a predecessor of the Soccer Association League Southwest . The 1st Amateur League Southwest was formed in 1952 by amalgamating the amateur leagues Rheinhessen , West Palatinate and Front Palatinate and existed until the 1977/78 season as the third highest league. After the introduction of the Oberliga Südwest in 1978 as the highest amateur league, the league was renamed "Verbandsliga Südwest" and was only fourth class from that point on.

The championship was won by SV Alsenborn , who were promoted from the previous year, and were promoted to the Regionalliga Südwest. SV Mundenheim and SV Gonsenheim had to go to the 2nd amateur league. For the following season 1965/66 came as a climber from the 2nd amateur leagues of TuS Altrip and Alemannia Worms , as well as a relegated from the regional league of VfR Kaiserslautern .
