Agios Dimitrios ( Greek Άγιος Δημήτριος ( m. Sg. ) ' Saint Demetrius ', until 1928 Brachami Μπραχάμι) is a southern suburb of Athens with about 70,000 inhabitants.

Agios Dimitrios has been connected to the Athens subway network via line 2 (“red”) since 2004 .

geography

Agios Dimitrios is about 4 km south of the Acropolis and 3.5 km north of the coast. It is bordered to the west by Paleo Faliro , to the northwest by Nea Smyrni , to the north by Dafni-Ymittos , to the northeast by Ilioupoli and to the south by Alimos . The Rema Pikrodafnis flows through Agios Dimitrios .
