The municipality of Moschato-Tavros is a municipality in the south of the Greek capital Athens . It was formed during the administrative reform in 2010 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Moschato and Tavros . It belongs to the Athens-South regional district of the Attica region .
The municipality extends from the area of the city of Athens , to which it borders to the north, to the coast of the Saronic Gulf . In the west, the Kifisos, built over with the Leoforos Kifisou (National Road 1), forms the border with Piraeus , in the east, the Ilisos, which is also largely built over, forms the border with Kallithea .
