The Algerian national basketball team for women is the selection of Algerian women basketball players that the Fédération Algérienne de Basket-Ball represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest success was fourth place at the 1968 African Cup of Nations . In 1963, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In June 2014, the team was ranked 70th in the world rankings for women .

The women's national basketball team of Algeria has so far participated in the African Games competitions three times . In 2007 the team finished sixth, in 2011 eighth, and the national team also took part in the 1978 competitions.
