The Cape Verdean national basketball team for women is the selection of Cape Verdean women basketball players who represent the Federação Caboverdiana de Basquetebol on an international level in competitions against the teams of other national associations. The greatest success was seventh place at the 2005 African Cup of Nations . In 1988 the national association joined the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In June 2014, the team was ranked 63rd in the world rankings for women .
