The Ghanaian national basketball team for women is the selection of Ghanaian women basketball players that the Amateur Basketball Association of Ghana represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest success was third place at the 1979 African Cup of Nations . In 1962, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In June 2014, the team was ranked 73rd in the world rankings for women .
