The Angolan national basketball team of women is the selection of Angolan basketball players who represent the Federação Angolana de Basquetebol on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest successes were winning the African Championships in 2011 and 2013 as well as participating in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2014 World Cup . In 1979, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In June 2014, the team was ranked 20th in the world rankings for women .

The team was able to qualify for the 2014 World Cup by winning the African Championship in 2013 . This was the first time I took part in a World Cup.

So far, the team has once managed to qualify for the Olympic basketball competitions by winning the African Championship in 2011 . At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , the team finished last among twelve participants.

The Angola's women's national basketball team won two silver medals ( 1987 , 2011 ) and one bronze ( 2007 ) at the African Games competitions . In addition, Angola finished fourth in the 2003 competitions .
