The Tunisian national basketball team for women is the selection of Tunisian women basketball players that the Fédération Tunisienne de Basket-Ball represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest successes were the second places at the African Championships in 1974 and 2000 in their own country as well as participation in the 2002 World Cup . In 1956, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In June 2014, the team was in 23rd place in theWorld ranking of women .

The team was able to qualify by second place at the Africa Cup of Nations 2000 for the World Cup in 2002 , where they came in last place among 16 participants.

Tunisia at the Africa Games

The Tunisian women's national basketball team took part in the African Games competitions three times . In 1991 and 1999 the national team finished fourth, and in 2007 Tunisia finished the tournament in seventh place.
