Amore is an album by the Italian singer Andrea Bocelli . After its release on January 31, 2006, the album soon made it to high places in the international charts, for example in the Netherlands, but it was also able to establish itself in Italy.
Parallel to the album Amore , the album Amor was released on March 22, 2006 , which was just intended for the Spanish-speaking market, many Italian songs by Amore were interpreted in Spanish in the Spanish album by Bocelli.
The album sold 1.66 million times in the United States alone , and around 3.7 million times worldwide.
Emergence
Bocelli said in an interview that he had played many of these pieces before he started his career, in Italian bars during his student days. It was a very moving experience ( a very moving experience was) for him to attend this musical world.
content
The album contains mostly Italian and Spanish tracks, including some that have been made famous by other artists in the past such as Besame Mucho , The Beatles and the tenor Plácido Domingo among others.
In general, the album stands out due to its linguistic diversity, so besides Spanish and Italian songs there are also songs in other languages, such as the French song Les Feuilles Mortes . He sang this together with his fiancée Veronica Berti, who also accompanied him at concerts where Bocelli presented his album. The song L'appuntamento , made famous a few decades earlier by the Italian singer Ornella Vanoni , has some text passages in Portuguese, hence the subtitle Sentado à Beira do Caminho . At the end of the Italian version of the album, Bocelli then interprets Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley . The version contained on the album is borrowed from the concert Amore - Under The Desert Sky from Las Vegas . With the song Because We Believe Bocelli later appeared on the American show American Idol .
For the album, Bocelli worked with numerous other artists, with well-known such as Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder . With Aguilera he interpreted in the duet Somos Novios , which was subtitled It's Impossible for the album . Bocelli sang canzoni stonates with Wonder . Other musicians, such as Kenny G and Chris Botti , support Bocelli instrumentally. With Kenny G, Bocelli later interpreted A te , which appeared on his 2007 best-of album.
Bocelli also tried his musical colleagues for Amore . Kenny G also played for the song Me Faltas , which is the Spanish version of Mi Manchi . Bocelli also received Wonders' musical support for Canción Desafinada . The French song Les Feuilles Mortes has been replaced by its Spanish version called Las Hojas Muertas . In addition, Amor has another song, Porque Tú Me Acostumbraste , which Amore has no counterpart.
The album was released again on January 12, 2010, this time the song Porque tú me acostumbraste was added, which Bocelli had previously sang at concerts for Amore .
