Incorporations
The previously independent municipality of Mewegen was incorporated into Rothenklempenow as a district on January 1, 2005 .
history
The office was formed on July 1, 2004 through the merger of the former offices of Löcknitz and Penkun . The decision to merge the two offices is based on a resolution by the state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2000 for a reform of the municipal office structure and the functional reform II that went with it from 2005 . According to § 125 Par. 3 Municipal Constitution MV (KV MV) […] the area and number of inhabitants of an office should be measured in such a way that an efficient, economical and economically working administration is achieved under voluntary management. In doing so, the local conditions, in particular the traffic, school and economic conditions as well as the cultural and historical relationships, must be adequately taken into account. As a rule, the offices should have 8,000 inhabitants and more, but at least 6,000 inhabitants. As a rule, no more than ten municipalities should belong to one office. While the Löcknitz office with its twelve municipalities had 7,965 inhabitants in 2004, the Penkun office with only four municipalities and the city of Penkun together only had 3,513 inhabitants.
Since the merger in 2004, a branch office of the Löcknitz-Penkun office has been located in the building of the former Penkun office. In the beginning, parts of the reporting, cash, general administration, housing allowance departments and, from 2004 to 2007, the entire building department were housed there and, as at the official headquarters in Löcknitz, there were also citizens' consultations three days a week in the Penkun branch. Since 2015, the Penkun branch has only held a citizens' consultation hour one day a week. The departments that were partially housed there had already been gradually disbanded in the years before and moved back to the official headquarters in Löcknitz. The building authority has been located in the community center (old school) at Marktstraße 4 in Löcknitz since 2007 and moved back to the main building of the office Löcknitz-Penkun in Chausseestraße 30 in Löcknitz in 2015.
According to § 3 of the association's statutes , the Zweckverband Gewerbegebiet Klar-See , founded in 1992, has the task of developing and marketing the 332,567 m² industrial area "Klar-See" in the municipality of Krackow and of carrying out the waste and sewage disposal in the association area. According to § 1, association members are the communities Glasow, Krackow, Nadrensee and the city of Penkun, which is also the seat of the association (as of 2016). According to § 5 of the association statutes, organs of the association are the association assembly and the association chairman. Following the conclusion of a public law agreement between the Zweckverband and the Amt-Löcknitz-Penkun, the Amt Löcknitz-Penkun has been responsible for the administration and budgeting of the Zweckverband since 2005 (§ 10 and 11 Association Statutes).
