Andreas Reichhardt (born October 23, 1968 in Vienna ) is an Austrian civil servant. From June 3, 2019 to January 7, 2020 he was Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology for the Bierlein Federal Government .

Life

After primary school, Andreas Reichhardt attended the Lycée Français de Vienne and the Bundesgymnasium Vienna II. After graduating from high school , he began studying law at the University of Vienna , which he completed with a master's degree.

He began his professional career at Biodroga Cosmetics GesmbH in the area of ​​organizational management. He then worked as a parliamentary economic advisor in Thomas Prinzhorn's office. In 2003/04 he was Deputy Head of Cabinet under Minister Hubert Gorbach and advisor at the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT). In 2005 he succeeded Hermann Weber as head of Section III - Innovation and Telecommunications in the Ministry of Transport. From January 1, 2018 to May 22, 2019, he was Secretary General under Minister Norbert Hofer .

Since 2018 he has been a member of the supervisory board of the autobahn and expressway finance company ASFINAG and ÖBB-Holding AG .
