The Erkrath Nord station is one of four stops with passengers in the city Erkrath in North Rhine-Westphalia and station of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn .
Location and structure
The train station is in the north of Alt-Erkrath and is particularly important for commuters in the Düsseldorf area . The Erkrath market is about 1 km from the stop. In the southern area of Alt-Erkrath there is a second S-Bahn stop, Erkrath , on the Düsseldorf – Elberfeld line .
history
The stop was opened in 1905 on the Düsseldorf-Derendorf-Dortmund Süd railway line. Since 1914 it has been called the station. Since 1999 it has been a stop of the Regiobahn , whose company bought the line in 1998.

The Erkrath Nord S-Bahn station on line S 28 of the Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn has two side platforms with direct access to the Heideweg street . The bus stop is only served by the Erkrath Citizen Bus.
