Berken (Osterburg)

Berken is a residential area in the Meseberg district of the Hanseatic city of Osterburg (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Berken farm is located 1.5 kilometers northwest of the village of Meseberg am Schüpler.

Neighboring towns are Tornowshof and Dobbrun in the northwest, Blankensee in the northeast, Wenddorf in the southeast, Lindenhof in the south and Kattwinkel in the southwest.

history

The Berken residential area was mentioned in the parish dictionary in 1885. The place is older and was already listed on the table sheet in 1873, but without its own name.
