Carl Bernhard von Conta (born December 21, 1816 in Weimar ; † May 28, 1899 there ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

He was the son of the president of the state management in Weimar, Karl von Conta and his wife Viktoria Friederike, née Weiß (1785–1842). His younger brother Richard also embarked on a military career and made it to major general .

Military career

After attending the Grimma Abbey School and high school in his hometown, Conta joined the 1st Company of the 8th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army in Frankfurt (Oder) on March 8, 1833 as an avantageur and three-year-old volunteer .
