The list of bishops includes the bishops of the diocese of Nitra (German also Neutra ) in today's Slovakia .

The diocese belonged to the Moravian Empire from 880 to 906, to the Kingdom of Hungary from 1105 to 1918 , to Czechoslovakia from 1919 to 1939 , to Slovakia from 1940 to 1945 , to Czechoslovakia from 1945 to 1992 , and to Slovakia since 1993 .
