In an alternative world, supernatural beings such as fairies, elves and orcs live in a confined space, but peacefully with humans. Daryl Ward, a human cop, is not really keen on his strange fellow citizens. Nevertheless, there are the Brights, magicians living among them, who can use such wands in their everyday lives.

Will Smith played Officer Daryl Ward, and Joel Edgerton played orc cop Nick Jakoby.
