CHL Defenceman of the Year
The CHL Defenceman of the Year Award is an award from the Canadian Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the best defender of the three major Canadian junior leagues since the end of the 1987/88 season. There is a choice of the winner of the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy (best defender of the Western Hockey League ), the Max Kaminsky Trophy (best defender of the Ontario Hockey League ) and the Trophée Émile Bouchard winner (best defender of the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec) ).
