Christian Sery
Christian Sery (* 1959 in Linz ; artist name: Sery C ) is an Austrian artist and has been a professor at the Dresden University of Fine Arts since 2003 , where he was rector from 2005 to 2012.
biography
Christian Sery was born in Linz in 1959. After graduating from high school in 1973 , he first studied at the Higher Technical College in Krems on the Danube and graduated in 1978 as an engineer for structural engineering. From 1978 to 1984 he studied painting at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz , which he completed with a diploma. In 1984 Sery moved to Germany and worked as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf . In 2003 he was appointed professor for interdisciplinary and experimental painting at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts .
Christian Sery is married and has lived in Dresden since 2004.
