Cori is a town in the province of Latina in the Italian region of Lazio with 10,740 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located 55 km southeast of Rome and 25 km north of Latina.
geography
Cori lies in the foothills of the Monti Lepini above the Pontine plain . It is a member of the Comunità Montana Monti Lepini e Ausoni .
The district of Cori is the village of Giulianello with a historical center.
The neighboring municipalities are Artena ( RM ), Cisterna di Latina (LT), Lariano (RM), Montelanico (RM), Norma (LT), Rocca Massima (LT) and Segni (RM).
history
Cori is one of the oldest cities in Italy. According to legend, the ancient Cora is said to have existed as early as the 2nd millennium BC. By Dardanos , the progenitor of the Trojans. 642 BC Chr.
