This is an alphabetical list of known Onion Services in the Tor network that officially announce their Onion Services (formerly Hidden Services ) as .onion addresses in the Tor Network .
Onion Services
Onion Services can only be accessed via the Tor network. Operators who offer a certain service can offer it as an onion service and at the same time as a normal service (which can be reached normally via the Internet). The advantage of this is that users who value privacy can go through the Tor network and maintain their anonymity.
Categories of Onion Services
Operating systems
- Debian - is a collaboratively developed free operating system. Debian GNU / Linux is based on the basic system tools of the GNU -project and the Linux - kernel .
- Qubes OS - is an operating system focused on IT security , which guarantees this through separate virtual machines .
- Whonix - is a Debian -based Linux distribution that values privacy, security and anonymity on the Internet. To achieve this, Whonix relies in particular on the use of the Tor network .
