history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1400 and was in the Polish-Lithuanian aristocratic republic in the Ruthenian Voivodeship until 1772 . Under the Polish name Delatyn it belonged to the Austrian Galicia until 1918 and was the seat of a district administration from 1854 to 1867 and then the seat of a district court for the Nadwórna district . After the end of the First World War he came to Poland , was incorporated into the Stanislau Voivodeship from 1921 and was only occupied by the Soviet Union and from 1941 to 1944 by the German Reich and attached to the Galicia district during World War II . In the spring or summer of 1942, under the direction of Hans Krüger , the head of the security police in Stanislau , 3,000 Jews were shot near Deljatyn.
In 1945 the city came back to the Soviet Union , there it became part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991. In 1961 the place was renamed to Diljatyn (Ділятин), in 1989 the place was renamed back to your current name.
Since 1894 the place has had a train station on the Sighetu Marmației – Ivano-Frankivsk railway line , and in 1899 the current Delyatyn – Stepaniwka line (then as the local line Delatyn – Kolomea – Stefanówka ) was added.
The place, which is pronounced "Dyljatyn" in the local dialect, is recognized in literary texts by Jurko and Taras Prochasko , Andrzej Stasiuk and Wassyl Machno .
