Denis Brennan (born June 20, 1945 in Enniscorthy , County Wexford ) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland .

Life

Brennan went to primary school at Kiltealy National School and then to St Peter's College in Wexford . He studied Roman Catholic theology at St Peter's College and was ordained a priest on May 31, 1970. He then became a member of the Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament in Enniscorthy, until it gave up in 1992. In March 1997, Brennan became a priest in the Taghmon Parish . Brennan was named Bishop of Ferns on March 1, 2006 .

In 2010 Brennan got into the public debate about the abuse scandal in the Irish Catholic Church .
