The 1994 EBSA European Snooker Championship was the third European continental championship for amateurs in snooker . The European Billiards and Snooker Association organized the tournament in May 1994 at the Billiard Art Club in the Hungarian capital Budapest .

The Belgian Danny Lathouwers became European champion with an 8-2 final victory over his compatriot Stefan Van Der Borght.

Final round

Like both of the two preliminary tournaments, the tournament winner was determined from the quarter-finals in the knockout system . The number of winning frames had changed again: In the semifinals 7, in the finals 8 frames were necessary for victory ( best of 13 and best of 15).

In the previous year only the host was allowed to send more than one representative to the tournament, this time there were several representatives from some countries and for the first time two compatriots faced each other in the European Championship final. The two Belgians Danny Lathouwers and Stefan Van Der Borght had already contested the final of the Belgian championship in 1993 , which the older Lathouwers had won 7-2. This time, too, he clearly had the upper hand with 8-2 ​​and became European champion. Both players tried their hand at the professional tour in the 1990s, but were largely unsuccessful.
