Frederik Tryde Lassen

Frederik Andreas Asmus Christian Valdemar Gabriel Tryde Lassen (born September 6, 1838 in Qaqortoq , † January 2, 1920 in Næstved ) was a Danish inspector of Greenland .

Life

Frederik Tryde Lassen was born in Greenland as a result of his father's work. From 1855 he volunteered in Qaqortoq, Paamiut , Nuuk and Ilimanaq before he was employed as an assistant in Ilimanaq in 1868. He then worked as a colonial administrator in Sisimiut , Qeqertarsuaq and Nuuk. From 1882 to 1884 he succeeded Hannes Peter Stephensen as inspector for South Greenland before being replaced by Carl Julius Peter Ryberg . He then returned to Nuuk before retiring in 1885. He then worked as a class lottery collector until 1918 before he died two years later at the age of 81.

family

Frederik Tryde Lassen was the son of the colonial administrator Frederik Lassen (1798–1872) and his second wife Inger Hedevig Elisabeth Tryde (1801–1864). His grandparents were Nicolai Lassen, Dorthea Kaare, Anders Holst Tryde and Cathrine Marie Elisabeth Pfeiffer. His half-brother Hans Nicolai Christian (1824–1898) also worked in Greenland. He himself married on July 1, 1868 in Aasiaat Emma Michaeline Jakobine Tryde (1835-1900), who was probably related to him, daughter of Frederik William Tryde and Frantzine Emilie Hulevad. The marriage resulted in the daughter Emma Franzine Frederikke Tryde Lassen on July 27, 1870 in Qeqertarsuaq.
