Jens Clausen will
Jens Clausen Wille (* 1750 in Christianshavn , Copenhagen (baptized on December 5, † March 27, 1820 in Altona ) was a Danish merchant .
In 1781 he was the correspondent for the Greenlandic trade and from 1786 to 1790, as the successor to Johan Friedrich Schwabe, he was an inspector in North Greenland . In 1806 he was managing director at the fishing and trading institute in Altona . In 1816 he was appointed General War Commissioner.
He was the son of Claus Nicolaisen Wille and Anne Jensdatter. He married Sophie Hedevig Lund (1763-1812), daughter of Joachim Henrik Lund, Adam Gottlob von Moltke's valet , and Cathrine Amalia Bing in Copenhagen in 1786 . The couple had a son, Jonas Jeremias Wille, who was born in Qeqertarsuaq that same year .
He also translated Friedrich Ludwig Schröder's comedy The four guardians ( De fire formyndere ) and August von Kotzebue The arson ( fire Katten ) into Danish .
