Jørgen Nielsen Møller 1854

Jørgen Nielsen Møller (born November 17, 1801 in Skydebjerg , † July 6, 1862 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish merchant and inspector of Greenland .

Møller studied law before working as an assistant and later as a businessman in Nuuk , Qeqertarsuatsiaat , Paamiut , Aasiaat , Sisimiut and Qaqortoq . He was appointed inspector for South Greenland in 1856 and was replaced in 1857 by his son-in-law Hinrich Johannes Rink .

He was the son of Niels Jørgensen Møller and Karen Rasmusdatter. He was married twice. The daughter Juliane Bolette Møller (1828–1875) came from his first marriage to Cathrine Raun. From his second marriage to Antonette Ernestine Constance Tommerup (1813-1891) comes his daughter Nathalie Sophie Nielsine (1836-1909), who became a well-known writer under the name Signe Rink .
