Albert E. Blichfeldt Høyer

Albert Emil Blichfeldt Høyer (born September 8, 1827 in Odense , † January 1, 1879 in Lyngby ) was a Danish inspector of Greenland .

Høyer began a military career and served as a first lieutenant in the First Schleswig-Holstein War from 1848 to 1850 , for which he was awarded the Dannebrogorden in 1849 . He then worked in Greenland from 1855, initially as a volunteer in Paamiut and Qaqortoq . In 1858 he was promoted to assistant in Qaqortoq and in 1861 to the colonial administrator. In 1868 he succeeded Hinrich Johannes Rink as inspector for South Greenland before he was replaced by Hannes Peter Stephensen in 1869 .

He was the son of Captain Søren Feodor Høyer and Marie Knuthsen. Høyer was married to Emma Caroline Andersen (1841–?) From August 27, 1858.
