Freestyle skiing at the Olympics

Ski freestyle

Freestyle skiing has been part of the Olympic Winter Games programsince the 1992 Winter Olympics . Previously,three demonstrations were heldat the 1988 Olympic Games with the moguls , jumping and ballet. The first freestyle skiing discipline became Olympic with the mogul slope in 1992. While freestyle jumping became Olympic two years later, ski ballet was dropped from the program. At the 2010 Winter Olympics , a third competition was added, Skicross. Competitions in slopestyle and halfpipe expanded the program from the 2014 Winter Olympics .
