Friederike Frerichs (* 1944 in Rodenkirchen ) is a German actress .

Life

Education and theater

Frerichs was born in Rodenkirchen near Oldenburg . She initially worked as a bookseller in Marburg , Berlin , Konstanz and Munich . From 1970 to 1973 she completed an acting and singing training at the New Munich Drama School in Munich .

She then had festival and guest engagements at the TamS Theater in Munich, the Schnawwl Children's and Youth Theater in Mannheim , the Heidelberg City Theater , the Badische Landesbühne Bruchsal , the Theater Oberhausen , the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Staatstheater Kassel , the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and at the Nationaltheater Mannheim . She also worked regularly in independent theater productions. In 1994 she staged the play "Late Region" by Lida Winiewicz together with actress Elisabeth Auer (Neues Ensemble Mannheim) .

From 1997 to 2005 Frerichs was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Ulm Theater . Her roles there included Grete in “The Presidents” by Werner Schwab , Ann-Agathe in “Das Erbe” by Bernard-Marie Koltès , Abby Brewster in Joseph Kesselring's crime comedy “ Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen ”, Spelunken-Jenny in Brecht / Weills “ The Threepenny Opera ”, Daja in “ Nathan the Wise ” and Ella Rentheim in “ John Gabriel Borkman ”.

In 2007 she was a guest at the Koblenz City Theater as Abby Brewster in "Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen". In 2009 she took on the role of Claire Zachanassian in " The Visit of the Old Lady " at the Wilhelmshaven City Theater . In 2013 she played at the Berlin State Opera together with Hans Hirschmüller in Salvatore Sciarrino's music theater "Vanitas".
