This article is about the Icelandic women's national football team at the 2009 European Championship in Finland .

qualification

Iceland was for the qualification are in Group 3 and met France , Greece , Serbia and Slovenia . With six wins and two defeats, the Icelanders finished second behind France.

Iceland prevailed against Ireland in the play-offs , while Slovenia lost to Ukraine .
