The Hamburg Football Association 1980/81 was the 36th season of the top amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Association League Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the association league, only the four promoted TSV Reinbek (for the first time in the highest Hamburg amateur class), Viktoria Wilhelmsburg-Veddel ( promotion after two years), TuS Güldenstern Stade (return after ten seasons) and Bramfelder SV (rose again after 16 years).

The winner was SV Lurup Hamburg . Together with the runner-up SC Urania Hamburg , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . While Lurup won his group and rose, Urania finished his group in second place and missed promotion.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. The Bramfelder SV had to relegate again after one season, forward Billstedt after eight seasons and Altona 93 after nine seasons.
