2: 1 Schiavio (95th)

The Italians also benefited from the referee's performance in the final. The Swedish referee Ivan Eklind - who had already "distinguished himself" in the semi-final match between Austria and Italy - was indulgent in the second half to the sometimes over-tough game of the Italians and refrained from being sent off. Nevertheless, the Czechoslovaks managed to take the opening goal through Puč in the middle of the second half. Orsi equalized in the 81st minute. Italy retained the upper hand in extra time and won the 1934 World Cup.
