God, give your dishes to the king ( BWV Appendix 3) is a lost sacred cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach , which he premiered in Leipzig in 1732 when the council changed .
Five of the cantatas for the change of council that Bach wrote in Leipzig have been preserved. This event usually took place annually in the Nikolaikirche . On this festive occasion, Bach would probably have added trumpets to the orchestra for this lost cantata .
