Goya 2009
The Spanish Goya Film Prize was awarded in 2009 in 28 categories and as an honorary Goya. The award ceremony took place on February 1, 2009 in the Palacio de Congresos del Campo de las Naciones in Madrid .
With a total of 15 nominations, the literary film adaptation Los girasoles ciegos was only able to prevail over the competition in the category Best Adapted Screenplay. Also Agustín Díaz Yanes ' thriller Las Bandidas - Revenge can be beautiful! was only able to assert itself in the category Best Camera with eleven nominations. The big winner of the evening turned out to be Javier Fesser's film drama Camino , which was nominated seven times and ultimately received six Goyas, including Best Film and Best Director. Benicio del Toro was named Best Actor for his title role in the biography Che - Revolución . Penélope Cruz won the Goya for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen's comedy film Vicky Cristina Barcelona .
