Career
society
Greg Stewart was born in 1990 in Stirling, northwest of the Scottish capital Edinburgh . In his youth, Stewart played for the Glasgow Rangers and Heart of Midlothian . From 2010 he was with the Scottish second division club Cowdenbeath FC under contract, for which he made his professional debut in the league game against Ross County . For the club from Cowdenbeath known as The Blue Brazil , the attacker was used 32 times in the first professional season under manager Jimmy Nicholl and was able to score nine goals. He was the team's top scorer. At the end of the season , the club was in relegation to relegation to the remaining in the First Division. There, Stewart and his team lost to Brechin City in the first round and had to go into the third division . Under the new coach Colin Cameron , the direct resurgence succeeded. He stayed with the team in the second division until the end of the 2013/14 season and was able to score another ten goals at the end.
In April 2014 Stewart signed a preliminary contract with league rivals FC Dundee , which should be promoted to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season . In the first matches of the first division season 2014/15 he was still very accurate, so that the contract was extended early in January 2015 to 2017.
In August 2016, Stewart moved to the English second division club Birmingham City for a transfer fee of £ 500,000 . A year later he was awarded to Aberdeen FC . Another year later to Kilmarnock FC , and then again to Aberdeen.
In June 2019, Stewart joined the Glasgow Rangers .
