Häusling (colloquially: Haisling ) is part of the municipality of the city of Erlangen in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village lies on the Bimbach, which feeds a chain of ponds, including the Doktorsweiher , and flows into the Regnitz at Neumühle as a left tributary . The place is surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the south the area is called Trutenäcker , in the north Am Schleifweg .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1400 as "Heuslans". The place name is based on the mhd. Word hūselin (little house). The bishopric of Bamberg was the feudal lord . The Nuremberg patrician Leupold Schürstab received the bailiwick over four farms. In Schürstab's interest booklet from 1407, five goods were recorded in "Hewsleins" that were subject to tax. As owner was Dompropsteiamt Büchenbach specified. In 1468 the village consisted of 5 properties with a total of 3 1 ⁄ 2 Huben fields. In 1580 the Schürstabs continued to be the landlords of the 5 properties. However, the income from two farms went - at least temporarily - to the Nuremberg State Almoses Office, as can be seen from a document from 1540. As a result of the Thirty Years War , the place was destroyed in 1632. Only in 1670 were buyers found for the five farms. The manorial rule over the property now belonged to the Dompropsteiamt Büchenbach.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Häusling (4 small estates, 4 half estates). The high court exercised the Bamberg cathedral provost office Büchenbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Bamberg center in Herzogenaurach . The Dompropsteiamt Büchenbach held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties.
In 1810 Häusling came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict, it was assigned to the Büchenbach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community Kosbach founded in 1818 .
On January 1, 1967, Häusling was incorporated into Erlangen as part of the Kosbach community. Until the 1970s, the place was entirely dominated by agriculture. In the period that followed, a new housing estate was built next to the old town. In 2000 there were only three farmers left in town.
